Northgate Renting Flexible has announced that its fleet has surpassed 80,000 vehicles, reflecting rapid progression.
Notably, the company reached a total fleet of 75,000 vehicles in 2025, hitting this new milestone just one year later. This growth has been backed by heavy investment; during the last financial year, the company added 20,000 vehicles to its fleet while disposing of approximately 13,000 units, representing a net investment of €360 million.
Jorge Alarcón, Chief Executive of Northgate Spain, explained regarding the new record: «With a cumulative fleet growth of 25% over the last three years, our priority is to ensure this growth remains sustainable from a customer service perspective, which is what truly sets us apart.» Furthermore, the executive underlined that «to guarantee our service capacity, we are developing our already extensive infrastructure network in tandem with our fleet.»

Commercial vehicles account for 70% of the fleet
The company currently operates 27 centres and 50 workshops—which they state is the largest proprietary network in the sector—spanning over 600,000 square metres of facilities. It has recently launched a second vehicle delivery hub in Valencia, and nine new service points are set to open by the end of the current financial year.
In this regard, Northgate highlighted «market capillarity» as one of its core strengths, noting that «combined with the expertise of our teams, it facilitates an agile response tailored to the specific needs of large corporations, SMEs, the self-employed, and private individuals—something particularly vital in a flexible hire model.»
Northgate Renting Flexible celebrated its 45th anniversary last year and specialises in commercial vehicles, which make up 70% of its fleet. This primarily includes vans, panel vans, and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) up to 3,500 kilograms, alongside passenger cars, SUVs, and 4x4s. True to its name, the company’s offering includes hire options starting from one month with no minimum term contract and immediate availability.
The share price performance of Northgate’s parent company, ZIGUP, on the London Stock Exchange shows strong growth over the last 12 months, accumulating a 36.3% rise to reach 428 pence (428GBX), or €4.99 at the current exchange rate.
